The top 3 beaches in Mallorca’s North
Mallorca is a wonderful island with over 250 beaches. This means we have tons of beautiful spots to go to when wanting to spend a day by the beach. But as we are located in the north of the island, we though it would be great to tell you where you can spend a wonderful day by the beach in this area.
Playa de Muro
First things first. Our home-beach, Playa de Muro is one of Mallorca’s most famous beaches. Why? Well, it starts with its length; Playa de Muro is about 6 kilometre long, which gives you tons of space even in the busy months. This white sand beach also has been holing on to a blue flag for many seasons now, making it a Paradise for families with children.
Playa de Muro is divided into four sectors, but all of them boast calm and clear, shallow turquoise waters and fine golden sand: heaven on earth! Playa de Muro has disabled Access and facilities such as toilets, showers and lifeguards.
Formentor Beach
We must say Formentor is one of the most beautiful spots of our island. Located in Mallorca’s North West, it is quite a drive to get there; you will go up the mountains and leave many curves behind before you get there. But the result is absolutely stunning.
A backdrop of pine forest and views to the mountains, the turquoise blue sea will be waiting for you to spend a Mediterranean day by the beach. The beach is quite narrow, but you will definitely find a spot for you. Facilities include showers, toilets and a lifeguard on duty and it has disabled access and three paid parkings by the beach.
Cala Sant Vicens
Cala Sant Vicens is a great spot for a full-day trip. It is an old fishing village around four little coves with stunning blue water. The four beaches are: Cala Barques, Cala Clara, Cala Carbo and Cala Molins. All four beaches in Cala Sant Vicens can be visited easily within half an hour so you can spend your day hopping between the four. The easiest to access are Cala Molins and Cala Barques and they also offer facilities and lifeguard service.
